Welcome to Ensemble Psychology
At Ensemble Psychology, we believe that good things happen when we work together. With clinical expertise and respect for your lived experience, we work in collaboration with you to help you build the life you want
OUR APROACH
At Ensemble Psychology, therapy is client-focused, identity-affirming, and inclusive.
We offer a welcoming, supportive space for individuals across all identities, with a particular focus on working with neurodivergent and gender-diverse clients, health-care professionals, and clients living with disability. We are passionate about providing care that respects who you are and what you value.
We also offer comprehensive psychological support for a wide range of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, stress, trauma, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, and life transitions.
We specialise in treating anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive (and related) Disorders (OCD), and sleep difficulties.
WHY CHOOSE A CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST?
Clinical psychologists bring advanced training and experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions.
Clinical psychologists are trained to work with complex and multifaceted presentations, using scientifically supported treatments tailored to each individual.
At Ensemble Psychology, you will experience a combination of rigorous clinical expertise and a deeply collaborative, respectful approach to care.
OUR THERAPIES
We offer a range of evidence-based therapies, carefully selected and adapted to suit your unique goals, needs, and identity. Each therapy is delivered in collaboration with you, ensuring it fits your needs, preferences, and goals.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT):
A structured, practical therapy that helps you identify and change unhelpful thinking and behaviour patterns that may be contributing to your distress.
ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY (ACT):
A mindfulness-based approach that allows you to accept difficult thoughts and feelings while taking committed action towards your personal values.
DIALECTICAL BEHAVIOUR THERAPY (DBT):
A therapy that focuses on building emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness skills, especially for intense emotional experiences.
EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITISATION AND REPROCESSING (EMDR):
A trauma-focused therapy that supports the processing of distressing memories using guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation.
UNIFIED PROTOCOL (UP):
A flexible, emotion-focused cognitive-behavioural approach that targets common processes across emotional disorders, such as emotional avoidance, and helps build emotional awareness and flexibility.
COGNITIVE PROCESSING THERAPY (CPT):
A specialised cognitive therapy that addresses and helps reshape unhelpful beliefs and thoughts related to traumatic experiences.
EXPOSURE AND RESPONSE PREVENTION (ERP):
A structured therapy specifically for treating OCD and related conditions. ERP involves gradually and safely facing feared thoughts, situations, or images without engaging in compulsive behaviours, helping reduce anxiety sensitivity and promote adaptive coping.
COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY FOR INSOMNIA (CBT-i)
A short-term, structured therapy to address clinical insomnia.
YOUR FIRST SESSION
Your first session at Ensemble Psychology is designed to be a safe, supportive starting point.
We will:
• Explore your current concerns and what brings you to therapy
• Understand your personal history, strengths, and challenges
• Begin identifying your goals for therapy
You can expect a thoughtful conversation focused on understanding you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. Together, we will develop a clear, collaborative plan for your therapy journey, grounded in what matters most to you.
ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
For those with mobility concerns, our practice rooms are on a single level with no stairs into the building. Disability parking spaces are available immediately in front of the building entrance and full accessible toilet facilities are available.
The clinic environment is maintained as a low-sensory environment, with soft lamp lighting. Please be in touch if you require any additional accessibility adaptations.
